Leah is a high-energy, high-performing musician and band leader, specialising in live event performance. She is known for her passion and on stage character and for a love of music, style and glamour.
Leah loves getting an audience hyped and involved in the show and brings her full personality to the fore. She doubles teaching sax, piano, clarinet and flute.
Leah plays sax and sings in numerous bands across the country. She is regularly to be found improvising with live DJs and enjoys singing harmonies and playing sax in unplugged (and sometimes plugged) roaming acoustic acts.
She fronts function bands as saxophone/backing vocals and runs Down Street Band. She is half of the Rose Gold duo. Leah has played with blues bands, big bands, ska bands, and then some.
She has played for Prime Ministers, ambassadors, mayors, brides, grooms and corporates (Facebook, KraftHeinz, Virgin Atlantic etc), and played everywhere from Kentucky and Tel Aviv, the Royal Festival Hall and the Birmingham Symphony Hall, to the Moonwalk at Clapham Common and Mayfair’s Members Clubs.
Leah is born and bred in North London and attends and serves at Christ Church Mayfair. She is half German and is very much enjoying the new Star Trek series.
Leah has a Master’s degree in Music from King’s College London (which in no way helps her saxophone performance, but does mean she can tell you historic development of the piano fantasy in the post Mozart era and is helpful in a pub quiz).
